Is it enough that Trump faces possible prosecution when he leaves office? He degraded our democracy, divided us into warring factions, and fueled racism & hate. We honor ex-presidents with libraries and monuments. How should we remember the shame and disgrace of the last 4 years?
Even after Biden won 306 electoral votes, Trump's harebrained lawsuits got dismissed, and pointless state recounts confirmed that Joe Biden had won -- it still took the threat of getting questioned by @RepKatiePorter to get Emily Murphy to do her job.
Today seems like a good day to remind you that @SenDavidPerdue:
—Began making suspicious stock trades after a private briefing about COVID in January
—Bought stock in DuPont, a chemical company that produces personal protective equipment
—Downplayed the virus to the public
2 cheers for Janet Yellen at Treasury. She’s not @SenWarren but she’s not from the Street (in fact at the Fed she came down hard on Wells Fargo), and understands the huge toll stagnant wages, systemic racism, and widening inequality have taken on our economy and society.
If Joe Biden wins the presidency via electoral college
Will leftists still want to abolish it?
Asking for a friend
Conservative pundits don't seem to understand that leftists care about people, not politicians.
We want to abolish outdated and racist systems, regardless of who benefits.
Trump is golfing, the Senate is on vacation, there is no COVID relief, food lines stretch for miles, 40,000,000 people face eviction, and Americans are dying in droves.
Is this what they mean by American exceptionalism?
We have to win Georgia.
The best way to get the economy back on track is to pay people to stay home and contain COVID. Providing disaster relief would mean people could pay their bills, keep food on the table, and spend to stimulate the economy.
This isn't complicated.
When a right-wing vigilante is arrested for shooting protestors, he posts $2M bail and goes free.
But when Black and Brown kids are arrested for an eighth of drugs, they can't make bail and sit behind bars.
The American criminal justice system is profoundly unjust.
I don't understand how it’s considered radical for progressives to fight for an equitable society, but it’s accepted that Senate Republicans would rather take a vacation for Thanksgiving and let thousands of people die from the virus than pass relief.
Who’s really radical here?
Georgians: If you turn 18 by January 5, 2021, you are eligible to vote in the run-off elections that will determine whether we take control of the Senate from Mitch McConnell.
You have until December 7 to register to vote.
